Studies: Spring-Early Summer 2017

Messing around in my sketchbooks and documenting growth. Continuation of a daily drawing initiative i started in January of 2016, which has now become a 3-7 day a week drawing project, since you know...life.

I like to focus on organic sketching and composition building and a lot of times don't start with pencils. Yes, i'm that weirdo who sketches in pen. Sometimes it works out, sometimes I try again.

"Goddess of the Depths" final.

Inspired by Yara (Asha) Greyjoy.
Mixed media, bic markers, brushpen, white paint pen and probably some neutral copics.

WIP:
Original sketch for this concept. Wanted to have focus on her face and hands, and how gentle she was interacting with the fallen giant wolf-like creature. This got completely lost in the final.
